I work in the movie industry so I meet them everyday.
I often wonder why people put them in higher regard than the real thing (actors acting the part of real doctors, lawyers, heros, etc….well, the successful ones at least).
They are just people.
Some normal, some not.
They are insecure, arrogant, caring, irresponsible, confident, neurotic, introverted, extroverted, genius, smart, stupid, clueless, just like…..us.

ha ha…a rat’s ass..that’s why I like u Alkistis…I wonder how you’d be as a celebrity? U could hide behind your sunglasses if you had too….Sometimes it’s good to get some gossip if your life gets to mundane…Or just make some stuff up for kicks…like the tabloids do with stories like President Obama fathered an alien baby with a woman from Mars on a full moon..or that Jesus was spotted at Walmart at midnight 3 weeks ago…

I think that the only celeb news that should be on the actual news is if someone died or had a baby thats news.We dont need to be hearing about everything a celeb does.A lot of celebs do things on pupose for attention but too many are just followed around and its so awful. If people werent so into you have to wonder if it would stop?

Alot of people including me will not read it all because it is to long but at the begining I noticed that you should take this part out. ( has been for sure the most outstanding invention in the history of mankind. And today it ) It is an outstanding invention but it is not the most outstanding in the history of mankind.

THIS IS EASY!
Step 1: keep a log of the activities that you do daily. Keep track of both the activities that you enjoy and the activities that you dread. You will start to see a frequency. Group the activities that you enjoy and they will point to a carrer that you will have fun doing.
Step 2: Talk to your parents, brothers, and sisters. Ask them about your childhood. What did you do when you were NOT with your friends? What toys did I play with the most? What was my favorite toy? When I was an infant what got my attention? Again you will start to see a frequency. Group this information along with the information of Step 1.
Step 3: Obtain your entire school history record. ALL: pre-school, kindergarden, Elementery, Middle, and High. Using Excel make a column for A, a column for B, and a column for C. Enter all the infor mation. Now look at the A column in more depth. This is what you are naturally good at, and subconsciencly enioy. Record this information alongside Step 1 and Step 2.
Step 4: Using all the previous steps find the pattern that stands out. IT WILL STAND OUT!
****NOTE****
You may or may not make much money doing the career that stands out. But you WILL be happy!
The career that stands out may actually end up being a DREAM career. DO IT! Don't look back, just DO IT. Your happiness is IMPORTANT.

VERY TRUE! I know many celeb’s that are totally miserable. However, there are some happy one’s as well. As for tabloids, I don’t even own a TV. I have a full life, and I work with celebrities as well. They’re only people that got a lucky break, peroid! Some I do admire because they are true hearted humanitarians. It’s like any profession, you’ve got your good and bad ones out there. They are only humans that the media sells in gold wrapping paper! I agree though, think pink out there, cheers!

I agree, but some women at work do bring in the gossip papers. I do find myself picking them up 100% of the time. I am sure this is a timeless past time, however these types of media seem to be much more invasive to the celebs than in times of the past. Often there seems to be very little respect for the celebs and no topic off limits.

Wow, you are off to a really great start. I wish I had done what you did when I was fourteen. Keep that list, and keep adding to it throughout your life. Focus on what you want, that is the key. When you find things that you don't want, list them but then turn them into the positive equivalent. For instance, I don't like being around rude and insensitive people = I want to surround myself with thoughtful and respectful people.
Remember too that your first two years of university will really help you to find a more narrow focus. You will discover courses that you can't live without, and people you meet will likely help you in your quest as well. You could start interviewing people already and making connections, and this will help you throughout your whole life.
Since you are interested in writing and journalism you might be interested in the life of Stuart McLean. He has a show on CBC Radio called The Vinyl Café. He writes really funny and poignant stories and travels around the country on tours reading them to audiences. He studied journalism (and some psychology, I believe) in university, taught at Ryerson and learned a lot from being a camp counsellor. I think he's very inspirational. http://www.cbc.ca/vinylcafe/ There was an interview with him in a recent Reader's Digest magazine too.
You sound like a very wise young lady and I wish you well, and hope to see you in print some day!

We have some things in common. I'm a fashion merchandising management major at FIT (in nyc, best school for the major and right up there with Parsons in the industry).
Basically, they make you into a fashion buyer. You might work for a store/company and get to travel places to look at trunk and runway shows….. You have a budget and need to know trends and your customer because you buy what you think will sell. You keep track of the success of store sales, see whats being bought and decide on markdowns, and you can also do store planograms (deciding what goes where).
Many qualities you said about yourself fit it.. like ambition, perfection, people-person, fashion (duh), creativity, love of travel, outgoing, like putting together outfits…. Even watching the news and staying up to date with pop culture (celebrities) is important because both influence fashion trends.
You do need to do a lot of math, but retail math isn't difficult, just annoying. Most of it is basic math, some is basic algebra (I'm awful at algebra but do well in my courses). There's fashion marketing too, and my school has a BAS major where you can become a stylist. Although fashion business is competitive, fashion design -the other option- can end you before you even graduate haha.
